The Empress Hotel is located in the south-west of Munich, in the centre of the quiet district of Großhadern. Located not far from the hospital of the same name, the building was formerly known as the “Hotel am Klinikum”. At this location, the city centre and the surrounding area of Munich combine to form a perfect mix. You can reach the old town centre in just 15 minutes by underground, but at the same time enjoy perfect connections to the Upper Bavarian Alpine foothills to the south and west.
We offer you the perfect connection to public transport: with the U6 underground line (from the Großhadern stop), you can easily get to the exhibition centre and airport in less than 20 minutes. Our team will be happy to answer any questions you may have about travelling to and from the airport.

Since the merger with Munich University Hospital, the Großhadern Clinic has become one of the largest clinics in the whole of Germany. The site is known for its leading role in transplants, and the oncology department, neurology department and affiliated paediatric clinic are also regarded as important centres of medical care and training in Munich and throughout Germany.
